OOO, IT'S THE HOLIDAY SEASON!
Holiday season is here! First, we give thanks for all that we have and then we ask for more during Christmas (insert laughing crying emoji).
Makes so much sense, right? Yes, I'm guilty of it too, but this post is just a small unusual post to recognize the people and things I am thankful for (cheesy, and predictable).
This holiday season, I am thinking about how I can enhance my life and what worked and what didn't work for me during the course of 2016.
I hope you find yourself acknowledging the small things in life—the things that make you truly light up. I am really grateful for the friends, students and family who have showed me nothing but love and support this past week.
Paying it forward really means something to me, and I'm focusing on the good and hoping to bring some light to someone's life just the way people have done for me.
Here are some things I am grateful for:
my grandpa's laugh
my job(s)
creativity
puppies (I mean let's be serious now)
dance
my mom's hugs
wine? (is this allowed?)
friendship and kindness
Here are some things I hope to give:
genuine compliments to friends, family and strangers
sending random notes and letters to friends (who doesn't love little acts of kindness and/or snail mail?)
taking time out of the day go to coffee or lunch with old friends
collaborate with people on new projects and ideas (I love the give and take process of creatively collaborating)
if I could hand out puppies to each and every one of you I would (just know it's the thought that counts)
compassion
What are you thankful for and what gifts do you hope to bring this holiday season?
