Your process should be authentic, so don’t worry if it doesn’t look like everyone else’s – otherwise it’ll stunt your growth not only as a dancer, but as a person. Free yourself from perfection and don’t hide your capabilities because the inner battle with yourself can almost destroy you more than the opinions of others. Stay humble and focus on improvement, but also know your worth and what you can offer. The highs are amazing but the lows — that’s really where you find your strength. In most times, simplicity is more important than complexity — so on those hard days if breathing is all you’re doing then be patient and applaud yourself. Vulnerability is simply refreshing so be brave even in moments where fear appears as a blinking neon sign. You have nothing to lose but time — so push yourself beyond your limits and bloom.
