HELLO AUTUMN, IT'S APPLE CIDER

This is probably the easiest recipe ever—and I mean easiest.

With the start of a new season, I figured it was time to give a warm welcome to apple cider, but not just any apple cider.

Fall makes me think of sweaters, leaves turning colors, brisk air and yes, apple cider.

So I figured I'd try out a new (and easy) recipe that I found from the infamous Paula Dean. Instead, I added a little more zest and spice to this already delicious apple cider.

Here's what you'll need:

  • 1 cup of lemon juice
  • 1/2 gallon of apple cider
  • 3/4 cup of orange juice
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 tablespoon whole cloves
  • a pinch of nutmeg

And the easiest part...combine all the ingredients in a pan and cook on medium heat.

You can serve hot or cold. If cold, let cool and then add ice. If hot, pour in your favorite mug. (mine's from Anthropology; how cute is it?)

Let's welcome autumn with this yummy apple cider—nothing gets better or easier actually.
