BEFORE THE SUMMER ENDS
It's that Sunday night feeling—you know, the weekend is over and the next day is...Monday, which starts the dreaded work week. That's how anxious I feel about Autumn, which is fast approaching us.
And there we go, yet again, another summer flies by. In fact, it will be coming to an end in less than a month.
Does anyone feel like the older you get, the faster the time goes? And now the end-of-summer depression begins...
With autumn officially making its appearance on September 22, our summer lovin' will soon be a nothin' and I am starting to feel like I need to soak up as much sun as I possibly can.
I don't know about you, but summer isn't like it used to be. I remember looking forward to actually having a break from school and activities. Now, there are no breaks, just days that stay lighter longer.
Although I am still denying that summer is coming to an end, I am starting to realize the only to do list I have completed are things for work.
So, I have created a bucket list for summer for the last-minute hurrahs I have in order to celebrate summer 2016. Here are 30 things to do before the end of summer:
1. Go to a Farmers Market and pick out fresh fruit and flowers.
2. Go zip lining.
3. Watch the sunset from beginning to end.
4. Bake homemade bread.
5. Have a fun outdoor photoshoot.
6. Go on a bike ride (haven't been on one in forever).
7. Sit on the beach at Caesar's Creek and read a book.
8. Go stargazing and document it (not just stare at the stars).
9. Have dinner on Vine Street in Cincinnati.
10. Attend a wine tasting.
11. Make a variety of quinoa salads (mainly because I am obsessed with them).
12. Finish reading my books (ugh, I hate that I haven't made time to finish reading them).
13. Take a road trip to Indianapolis (or anywhere really).
14. Go to the Cincinnati Art Museum.
15. Visit a zoo or botanical garden.
16. Play putt putt golf.
17. Make this sangria.
18. Go to a drive-in movie theater.
19. Open the windows during a storm and listen to the rain.
20. Make my own pottery piece and take a painting class.
21. Create my own ice cream sandwich like this.
22. Practice braiding my hair because I am tired of wearing my hair down or in a ponytail.
23. Make homemade sushi.
24. Enter my writing in online publications and start making videos (surprise! get ready for more content).
25. De-clutterize my apartment (and life).
26. Create a morning routine that will carry into fall.
27. Drink more water.
28. Make a DIY face mask and sugar scrub.
29. Create more! Crafting is essential.
30. Start journaling regularly (because when life gets hectic it's harder to remember moments).
What have you done this summer and what are you hoping to accomplish before the leaves start to fall and we start yearning for summer again?
